Poems inspired in Thailand at 4:00am

Last night there was a dance that went all night with low base. Here's reflection

Dance

Base thumps air

Heart beat pulse stretches

  on fingers of tension

Three note loop cycles

Drone repeats, repeats, repeats,

Dance Chant

Downward Dog

Gecko fingers arch

Power "L" imprints

Toe balls press

Twisting, spiraling, wringing

Starving belly exposes finger ribs

Muscle suck bones tight

Tension align to easefull effort

Fear 

Fears crooked root fingers

Snake into sinue muscles thin

Tendril shoots activate venom

Impulses scamper seeking light to kill

Bound in doubt

Paralyzing desperation

Heart eatten of hope

Suffering pain twists chest

"Let go" wails pain

Final injection poised to transmute

    soul light to body dark

Antidote

Give self sedative of kindness

Cradle heart tender in hands Divine

Fill  lungs restricted with reminders of joy

The Abyss

Fall into vat of emptiness

Fall into yourself

Friends support good bye to hermit shell

Let go

Desperate grabbing, doubts tug

Familiarity falls aside

Footing gone

Bearings gone

Definition gone

Layers pull away

What remains past desperation

Emptiness, 

     Quiet

        Peace of nothingness

                   Presence

Presence

  No expectations

  No assumptions

  No past

  No future

Palate of choices open

All colors included

      Lights, Darks

      Black, white and grey

Listen, smell, atune, AWAKE

Alert, ever ready feet

      Athletic poised

      See options

      See actions

Choose knowingly because

     actions reverberate
